6 feet dérive | 2021

three ladies performing outside with dogs

6 feet dérive is a performance of ‘wandelen’ (walking, Dutch) through the urban city of Tilburg with a pack of humans and their dog friends exploring the city’s geography and inclusivity of the nonhuman animals. Contemporary urban geography is focused on the human perspective while we forget to be the other and walk in the other’s shoes. For this performance we, dogs and humans, walk together and choreograph the city while stopping at locations to sing the Dog Wisdom Manifesto! Sit, wait, go! We become one body and howl together.

The performance was created for and with financial support of the Kaapstad Tilburg festival with co-creators Ela Szota and Barak as well as Roosje Verschoor and Pia.
